Welcome to Stargate Akitas where our love and involvement with dogs has spanned a lifetime. We purchased our first Akita, Miko, in 1995.  He was a wonderful companion with a clown like personality that had us laughing and smiling all the time.  It didn't take long for us to fall head over heels in love with the Akita breed and soon we were purchasing our first show dog.

Through the years our passion for and knowledge of the breed has deepened. Although we don't breed very often, when we do decide to have a litter, it involves a lot of research and planning with definite goals in mind. Our intentions are to keep a puppy or puppies out of each litter along with improving and enhancing the breed. We also want to be providing our puppy owners with a healthy, happy companion to enjoy in and out of the show ring.
